Food To Live has issued a voluntary recall of multiple Food to Live brand green powder products (SuperGreens, Moringa, Kale, Wheatgrass, Spirulina, Algae, and SuperGrass powders) due to possible Salmonella contamination. If you have one of these products, check the lot code against the list below and do not consume it.

Food To Live Voluntarily Recalls Green Powder Products Because of Possible Health Risk

Lexunder Inc., doing business as Food To Live of Brooklyn, NY, is voluntarily recalling Food to Live brand green powder products because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
Reason: This recall was initiated after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) notified the company that a sample of Food To Live brand Organic Supergreens Mix, 8-ounce package, lot SO-77820, collected at retail, tested positive for Salmonella. The source of the problem has not been determined. The company has suspended production and distribution of these products while FDA and the company continue their investigation.
Distribution: The affected products were sold nationwide, online to consumers and businesses through foodtolive.com, foodinbulk.com, and other online marketplaces. The recalled products were sold in resealable stand-up pouches and in bulk cases weighing 33, 44, and 55 pounds.
Affected lots: SO-72558 through SO-79374, or codes VFD/ORG/MORP/B/25, C25051312, and OSP251001. No other products or lot codes are affected.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
What to do: Consumers who have these products should not eat them. If affected product is on hand, dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Food To Live Voluntarily Recalls Organic Moringa Products Because of Possible Health Risk

Food To Live, of Brooklyn, NY, voluntarily recalled its packaged Organic Moringa Leaf Powder (dried Moringa oleifera) and Organic Supergreens Powder Mix distributed under the Food To Live brand in the following sizes:
- Organic Moringa Leaf Powder — 8 oz, 1 lb, 2 lb, 4 lb, 8 lb, 16 lb, and 44 lb bags
- Organic Supergreens Powder Mix — 8 oz, 1 lb, 1.5 lb, 3 lb, 6 lb, and 12 lb bags
Only packages with lot codes starting with SO-69006 and ending with SO-72558 (printed on the back of the bag) were affected. No other Food To Live products or lots were involved.
Reason: This recall was initiated after the FDA notified Food To Live that a specific supplier lot of organic moringa powder tested positive for Salmonella and had been linked to an outbreak of salmonellosis. Multiple illnesses were reported across several states. Food To Live immediately ceased distribution of the affected product and worked closely with the FDA to remove all potentially unsafe product from commerce.
Distribution: The affected products were sold nationwide through food2live.com, Amazon, Walmart, Target, Etsy, and eBay, and in bulk through Food To Live's wholesale division.
